How to Join Our Artist Roster

Thank you for considering applying to the Arts For Learning Connecticut artist roster!

Becoming an Arts for Learning CT roster artist provides you with programming exposure to thousands of local education professionals through our website, blog, email blasts, online guide, and partner networks. We work hard to promote our artists, to help them establish relationships with schools, to provide logistical support, and to offer valuable professional development to help our artists develop their skills as teaching artists. We have a dedicated in-house staff that facilitates scheduling, accounting, and technical logistics and is available to answer questions, provide support, and offer training and consultation.

Arts for Learning Connecticut is always looking for talented, professional teaching and performing artists to partner with us as we work toward a Connecticut where every student can imagine, create, and realize their full potential through the arts.

Artists who are applying to teach within our VSA roster would be required to receive additional training in use of Universal Design for Learning provided by Arts For Learning.

In addition, we expect our artists to possess and exhibit true artistry, professionalism,  strong educational content through a direct connection to National Core Curriculum Standards and/or CT State Department of Education Curriculum Frameworks, as well as 21st Century Learning Skills, communication skills and enthusiasm for their work.
