AFLCT receives American Rescue Plan Grant from City of Bridgeport!

Last month, Arts for Learning Connecticut received a grant through the City Of Bridgeport’s American Rescue Plan Youth and Education Grant program to support Higher Order Thinking (HOT) Schools at Harding High School for the next three years!

The grant was made possible by the city receiving over $110 million in funding through the federal American Rescue Plan Act; through a public application process earlier this year AFLCT shared a request to fund our whole-school, deep impact, teaching and learning program, HOT Schools, which we’d already launched at Harding in 2020. The City, in partnership with the Bridgeport Board of Education, reviewed a number of proposals and selected Arts for Learning Connecticut—alongside numerous non profits and organizations serving the city and its students—as a grantee.

We look forward to continuing HOT Schools at Harding for the years to come, and are grateful for this extraordinary support from the city!
