HAMDEN, CT — November 19, 2025 – Arts for Learning Connecticut is delighted to announce that it has received a $5,500 grant from the Farmington Community Chest, supporting AFLCT’s Express Yourself after-school arts program at five K–6 schools in Farmington: East Farms Elementary School, Noah Wallace School, Union School (Farmington), West District School, and West Woods Upper Elementary School.

This funding will enable AFLCT to deliver creative, hands-on arts workshops led by professional Teaching Artists at each site, giving students opportunities to explore various art forms, develop self-expression, and share their original work within their school communities. Through Express Yourself, AFLCT supports the schools’ goals to provide culturally enriching, interactive learning experiences that complement academic instruction and build social-emotional skills.

“We are profoundly thankful to the Farmington Community Chest for this continued and meaningful investment in arts learning and youth development,” said John-Michael Parker, Executive Director of Arts for Learning Connecticut. “With their support, we can bring high-quality arts enrichment to Farmington’s youngest learners and empower them to express their ideas, build confidence, and connect with their peers and community through the arts.”
