Arts for Learning Connecticut has received funding through the Town of Hamden Community Development Block Grant, supported by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, to implement community arts experiences in the town!
AFLCT has partnered with Hamden’s CDBG program for a number of years to provide free services for youth and families, including cultural arts performances, small-group workshops, and large community presentations.
This year, AFLCT will host a concert with Surcari, an award-winning performance group originally from Chile, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico under the musical direction of award-winning guitarist Lorena Garay.
The group will perform at Mayor Peter Villano Park on Saturday, May 21 at 11 AM. This concert is free and open to all!
