HAMDEN, CT, July 10, 2025 — Arts for Learning CT is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $4,000 grant from the KAWFY Memorial Fund and the Paula and Rick Knight Family Fund for the Southington Community at the Main Street Community Foundation.

This generous funding will support the continuation of the “Express Yourself” program at Joseph A. DePaolo (JAD) Middle School in Southington, CT, during the 2025-26 school year. The program engages JAD students in culturally enriching, hands-on arts workshops led by professional Teaching Artists. Each student will participate in at least two workshops across a two-week period, designed to foster self-expression, creativity, and a deeper connection to diverse art forms. Aligned with JAD Middle School’s curriculum, the program culminates in opportunities for students to share their original work with their peers and school community.
