Hamden, CT — March 12, 2026 — Arts for Learning Connecticut (AFLCT) is pleased to announce it has received a $5,000 general support grant from the Town Fair Tire Foundation to support arts learning programs that bring professional Teaching Artists into schools and community settings across Connecticut.
This funding will help sustain AFLCT’s delivery of hands-on arts workshops, artist residencies, cultural performances, and professional development programs during the 2025–26 school year. These programs reach students and families throughout the state, with a strong focus on communities where access to arts learning opportunities may otherwise be limited.
Led by AFLCT’s diverse roster of professional Teaching Artists, programming spans music, dance, visual arts, storytelling, puppetry, and poetry. These interactive experiences are designed to spark creativity, strengthen self-expression, and support students’ social and emotional growth while enhancing engagement in learning environments.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Town Fair Tire Foundation for their support of our mission,” said John-Michael Parker, Executive Director of Arts for Learning Connecticut. “This grant helps ensure that students across Connecticut have access to meaningful arts learning experiences that foster creativity, confidence, and connection.”
General support grants like this provide essential flexibility for AFLCT to respond to the needs of schools and community partners, sustain programming infrastructure, and expand access to arts learning opportunities for students across the region.
