Hamden, CT — April 24, 2026 — Arts for Learning Connecticut (AFLCT) has received a $500 grant from the Peckham Family Foundation to support an arts-integrated after-school program at Bryant Elementary School in Bridgeport.
The five-week program will run three days per week (15 sessions total) and serve 50-60 students. Led by AFLCT’s professional Teaching Artists and supported by school staff, sessions will focus on creativity, collaboration, and self-expression, culminating in a student showcase for families and the school community.
This initiative addresses limited access to affordable, high-quality after-school opportunities, providing a structured environment where students can build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and engage with peers.
Grant funds will support Teaching Artist fees and essential program coordination.
