HAMDEN, CT — November 19, 2025 – Arts for Learning Connecticut is pleased to announce it has received a $5,000 grant from the Rocky Hill Greater Together Community Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. This support will directly fund AFLCT’s dynamic Express Yourself after-school program at Myrtle H. Stevens School in Rocky Hill.
Express Yourself provides students with engaging, hands-on arts experiences led by AFLCT’s diverse roster of professional Teaching Artists. Through visual art, storytelling, movement, and other creative disciplines, students explore identity, develop self-expression, and build confidence in a supportive environment. The program aligns with the school’s commitment to offering culturally rich, meaningful learning opportunities that encourage students to share their voices and perspectives with their community.
“We are deeply grateful to the Rocky Hill Greater Together Community Fund for this generous support,” said John-Michael Parker, Executive Director of Arts for Learning Connecticut. “This investment allows us to bring high-impact creative programming to more students, helping them express themselves, connect with others, and discover the joy and power of the arts.”
