HAMDEN, CT — November 19, 2025 — Arts for Learning Connecticut is honored to announce a generous $25,000 gift from the Pincus Family Foundation, supporting a broad range of arts-learning initiatives that advance creativity, equity, and student engagement across Connecticut. This funding will enhance AFLCT’s statewide Higher Order Thinking (HOT) Schools work and expand high-quality professional development for teaching artists, program facilitators, and educators.

A portion of the gift will strengthen arts-integrated programming within HOT Schools, helping AFLCT deliver dynamic workshops, artist residencies, and culturally responsive performances that spark creativity and deepen student learning. Additional funding will bolster AFLCT’s responsive programming and professional development efforts, including specialized training that equips teaching artists and facilitators with the skills and tools needed to implement innovative, student-centered practices. This support also advances AFLCT’s Emerge program, a professional learning initiative that fosters the next generation of arts educators and community-engaged artists.

“We are deeply grateful to the Pincus Family Foundation for this meaningful investment,” said John-Michael Parker, Executive Director of Arts for Learning Connecticut. “Their continued commitment strengthens our capacity to serve HOT Schools, elevate the work of our teaching artists, and ensure that students across the state experience the transformative power of the arts.”

The Pincus Family Foundation’s dedication to expanding access to creative and educational opportunities for young people aligns closely with AFLCT’s mission to make arts learning accessible, equitable, and integral to every child’s education. With this support, AFLCT will continue to close opportunity gaps, empower teachers and artists, and deliver high-impact arts programming to communities across the state.
